Danken Design was founded in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2024.

Artist Daniela Björkenstam designs all our products. 

"I love capturing moments - whether they're of stillness, perfect synchronicity, or beauty. This can range from graphic patterns to storytelling, and everything in between. I draw inspiration from my surroundings, focusing primarily on everyday life, nature, architecture, the changing of seasons, and the play of light."

The process begins with a photograph. Daniela has always been an attentive observer, capturing the details of the world around her and the various atmospheres she encounters. Once she selects the photo to work with, she carefully translates it into a hand-drawn design using a drawing tablet. Each piece, therefore, becomes an artistic interpretation of the original image.
