Danken Design was founded in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2024 by me, Daniela Björkenstam. I’m a trained artist with a passion for nature, dogs, and tea. "Danken" is one of my nicknames, and I thought it would be the perfect fit for this project.

I love capturing moments - whether they're of stillness, perfect synchronicity, or beauty. This can range from graphic patterns to storytelling, and everything in between. I draw inspiration from my surroundings, focusing primarily on everyday life, nature, architecture, the changing of seasons, and the play of light.

The process begins with a photograph. I've always been an attentive observer, capturing the details of the world around me and the various atmospheres I encounter. Once I've selected a photo to work with, I carefully translate it into a hand-drawn design using a drawing tablet. Each piece, therefore, becomes an artistic interpretation of the original image.
